Using your TAP Plan
Notebook Domestic Plan
Available for TAP Domestic and Platinum Upgrade plans.
- For help and/or repair authorization, call TAP technical support. (See TAP Handbook for number.) Have your TAP receipt and product serial number handy.
- Call TAP technical support for help and/or preliminary diagnosis. The number appears in your TAP Handbook.
- For Platinum Upgrade customers, the no-wait Platinum Hotline technical support number appears on your Platinum membership card.
- If necessary, take your CPU to the nearest CompUSA store for repair. To locate a store near you, call 1-800-CompUSA (1-800-266-7872), option 5.
- If a CompUSA store is not within 50 miles, we will send you an appropriate shipping carton and pre-paid shipping label.
Notebook International Plan
Available for TAP International and Platinum Upgrade plans.
- Call 011-972-919-7591 to obtain a proper repair authorization number prior to work being done. Have your TAP receipt and product serial number handy.
- If you are currently in the United States, please call the domestic TAP technical support number that appears in your TAP Handbook and follow the instructions for the Domestic TAP plan.
- Carry product to an authorized service center for an estimate. The repair estimate should be faxed to the National Dispatch Center at 011-707-248-1587. Upon receipt of the estimate, CompUSA will make arrangements to pay the service center directly.
- Or for customer reimbursement, submit a detailed service repair invoice that identifies the product and the CompUSA repair authorization number and includes a thorough description of the repair made.
- Send this documentation to CompUSA, 18451 North Dallas Parkway, Dallas, Texas, 75287, USA, Attn: National Dispatch Billing. CompUSA will reimburse the customer within 30 (thirty) days upon receipt of all necessary paperwork, provided that a covered repair was performed.
Apple Screen Upgrade Plan
Available for TAP Apple Screen Upgrade plan.
- For help or repair authorization for your notebook hardware, call you AppleCare support number found in your warranty booklet.
- For a damaged or inoperable screen, bring your product along with your proof of product and warranty purchase to the nearest CompUSA store.
- To locate a store near you, call 1-800-CompUSA (1-800-266-7872) and select option 5.

*NOTE: The TAP International Plan for notebooks provides supplemental coverage to the
manufacturer's warranty for notebooks needing repair or service outside of the United States or its
territories during the original manufacturer warranty term. Such international repairs are normally
excluded from manufacturer warranties.
The TAP Screen Protection for Apple® Notebook
This service plan is only available to customers who purchase AppleCare® Protection Plan,
Apple's extended service contract. This TAP plan only covers the screen and provides for up to
two screen-only replacements during the life of the plan.
