Slingbox installation details:

Determine proper source device for Slingbox connection.�

Determine which of the supplied cables are necessary to make all connections.

Verify that power is in proximity and network connection necessary.

Connect Slingbox to determined television source. If connecting to an external tuner, connect video and audio cables as well as IR receiving unit.

Connect power to Slingbox and verify that unit powers up properly by acknowledging the front power light is green.

Connect to network: If wireless, configure the bridge; if power line, connect both adapters; if wired, connect Ethernet cable to outlet.

Install SlingPlayer (the client software) on up to three Microsoft Windows® computers connected to your active supplied network.

Configure SlingPlayer. If directly connected to cable outlet, we verify that all channels are picked up during scan. If connected to an external tuner, we verify that the tuner can be controlled via the connect IR receiver eye and verify that the correct equipment is identified at the control point.

Configure Slingbox and network switch/router for remote viewing*.

Some Important Things to Know
Slingbox requires an existing wired or wireless network installed in your home. With a wired network, a network/Ethernet jack must be within six feet of the desired Slingbox installation location. To connect the Slingbox to a wireless network, a wireless bridge is required to complete the connection. A power line networking option is also available, but must have direct access to a power outlet that does not have a surge protector or power strip.

Pre-existing high-speed Internet connections are required.

ISP/VPN installation connection service requires pre-existing service subscription and available access.

Slingbox cannot be configured with a Windows® 98 operating system.

Changes in appointments should be made at least 24 hours in advance by calling 1-800-CompUSA (1-800-266-7872), Option 6.

CompUSA reserves the right to rearrange or cancel appointments but will make every effort to accommodate customer's first choice of date and time.

Additional charges apply for required (or optional) parts and/or hardware and software upgrades needed to complete the requested service.

Parts and software purchased for repair are subject to their individual warranty as applied by the manufacturer.

CompUSA guarantees the workmanship of the requested service for seven days following the date the service was performed. Subsequent reconfiguration or changes and modifications to the computers or products serviced void the labor warranty.

**In the event that you request to view and control the content of the Slingbox remotely, a broadband Internet connection must be in place. The remote viewing feature does not work with a dial-up Internet connection.
