New DDR2 Support Jump Starts Transfer Rates
DDR2 memory is the next generation of DDR memory that supports the open standards
efforts of the Joint Electronic Device Engineering Council (JEDEC), the governing
body for integrated circuit specifications. It uses an advanced signaling scheme
that can offer higher data transfer rates than DDR1 memory. The advanced signaling
scheme mentioned above allows high transfer rates using traditional PC motherboard
manufacturing techniques. DDR2 benefits to customers include lower voltage and
higher frequency headroom than DDR1 memory. Socket AM2 processors from AMD will
support DDR2 speeds of 400MHz, 533MHz, 667MHz and, for AMD Athlon™ 64 X2
dual-core and AMD Athlon™ 64 FX dual-core processors, 800MHz.

| This processor surprised me having built a system based on the 64 754 socket. I tried to slow this processor down, and got bored trying. Another great chip from AMD. Runs nice and cool too. |

| best processor in its price range in my opinion. ive gone through a couple of builds and this is the fastest one that i have ever put in. this coupled with an 8600gt and 2 gigs of ram = over 80 fps on almost all of my games at max on 1600x900 |

| This CPU is really fast. At a fraction the cost that intel it packs a lot of punch. I don't regret getting AMD one bit even though nearly everyone hates on it. It's really fast. 2mb cache is good. But I wish AMD would make more cache for their CPUs.
Shifting through programs is easy for this CPU.
I run Vista.
